What is the authority of FAA

Its primary mission is to ensure the safety of civil aviation.
Initial Approval of Repair Station Certificate
The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand(CATT) is the competent Authority for maintenance organisations that are involved in the maintenance of Thai registered aircraft and components intended for fitment thereto as established by TCAR8 Part 145.A.1. CAAAT is therefore responsible for the final approval of these maintenance.

Is an SMS required by ICAO?
The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO ) requires SMS for the management of safety risk in air operations, maintenance, air traffic services and aerodromes. These requirements have been expanded to include flight training and design and production of aircraft.

The objective of an industrial safety manager is to reduce the chance of risks, accidents, and harms by the accomplishment of diverse proficiencies of risk and safety management.
